We have a new Marketing Manager vacancy in our small but mighty, award-winning agency. We need a strategic, creative leader to play a key role in supporting the founder to strengthen the profile of the agency through internal and external comms strategies, while also working with our Marketing Manager and Head of Influencer Marketing to ensure the smooth day-to-day delivery of client projects. As Marketing Manager, everything that effects the profile of the business is your business.

This is a varied role for someone unafraid to try something new. Involving a mix of client facing and back office responsibilities, doing what is necessary, alongside the Founder and Marketing Manager, to further grow BIG little LDN as the go-to marketing and PR agency for brands who want more bang for their buck. You have hands on, practical experience from a previous marketing role, where you were responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies to meet client needs, maintain client retention and drive new business. 

You’ll report into the Founder, working collaboratively with our family freelancers to co-ordinate projects - both internal and client, influence strategy and drive results for the agency.

Our clients currently include a B2B technology consultancy, an insurance company, a privacy tech firm, a digital asset custodian and digital asset marketplace, therefore we need an experienced Marketing Manager who likes variety, is a quick learner and doesn’t mind adapting accordingly. Our Marketing Manager will be experienced enough to be able to work autonomously, but is a team player, loves collaboration and the rewarding challenge of working in a start-up. 

This is a permanent, full-time contract from April 2023, based in London or Swansea, with the option to ‘work-from-anywhere’ from time to time.

Main responsibilities

  • As Marketing Manager you will routinely provide clear, senior level advice on significant industry news and issues and proactively pitch the agency and our people in order to strengthen our profile as industry experts for new business and employee brand.
  • You will manage all external media and trade body relationships, proactively finding ways for BIG little LDN to be part of and shape industry conversations.
  • You’ll be responsible for leading internal programmes like BIG Shot, our Gen Z Advisory Board, developing ways to illustrate the importance of this USP amongst opinion formers across the press and prospective clients through varied communications activities and events.
  • You will oversee the growth, analytics and reporting of all our owned channels and their individual strategies, working closely with the Founder, Marketing Manager and Head of Influencer Marketing to develop an ongoing content pipeline and where necessary brief any creative into our design lead. 
  • You will have a proven client facing record of success, delivering creative publicity campaigns, strategic marketing and content plans and overseeing the end-to-end project delivery. 
  • You will work with the Marketing Manager to understand the scope of work for our existing clients and take over one of our key accounts for a period of maternity leave from July 2023, developing and executing their marketing plans.
  • Work with the Founder on new business pitches and if successful help to establish positioning, identify target audiences, develop cross-channel marketing plans and if necessary, build a new team.
  • Lead the execution of campaigns on behalf of our clients, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration with freelancers and suppliers where necessary 
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across campaigns for your key accounts and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies.
  • You know how to manage and motivate a team and are able to provide leadership in a way which allows your team members to take ownership of their projects and areas.
  • You will be responsible for two part-time direct reports in our TikTok Strategist and Junior Planner who will support you with content creation. 
  • You will act as a brand guardian for BIG little LDN, ensuring the agency values and brand guidelines are adhered to at all times. Maintaining our brand collateral and ensuring all internal and external comms are on brand.

Skills 

  • Ideally 5+ years experience in a marketing or PR role 
  • Strong social media skills especially LinkedIn and Instagram 
  • A strong and confident communicator with experience in presenting, pitching, client handling and writing 
  • An innate enthusiasm for learning and taking on new challenges
  • Experience of working with talent, influencers and events is a bonus 
  • An understanding of agency back office operations preferable 
  • A strong and positive motivator of internal colleagues and culture 
  • Highly organised and disciplined person who understands the importance of deadlines
